Privacy Policy
Last updated August 15, 2026
This policy explains what Jollo collects, why, and what you can do about it. It's written in plain English on purpose. Jollo is a small, independently run project — this is not a law firm's document, and it isn't legal advice. It's an honest description of how the app actually works.
What we collect
- Account info. If you sign up with email and password, we collect your email address. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account identity (name and email) from Google to create your account — we don't see your Google password.
- Profile. A nickname and a creature avatar you choose from our built-in picker (no photo upload).
- Activity. Games you favorite, ratings you give, and comments you post.
- Games you submit. If you use the submit-a-game form, we collect whatever you enter — title, description, rules, and any photo you upload — plus your account so we can credit and moderate the submission.
We don't run ads, and we don't have an analytics or tracking pixel on the site. We don't collect anything beyond what's listed above.
Where it's stored
Everything lives in Supabase, a hosted Postgres database provider. We don't run our own servers to store your data. Access to the database is protected by row-level security policies and, for admin actions, a separate authenticated admin check.
What's public
Jollo is a shared, social app, so some of what you do is visible to other users by design:
- Your nickname and avatar are shown next to any comment you post.
- Comments themselves are public to anyone visiting that game's page.
- Games you submit become visible to everyone once approved.
Your email address, your favorites, and your ratings are private — they're never shown to other users.
What we don't do
We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with third parties for advertising or marketing. We don't run ads on Jollo. The only outside services involved are Supabase (storage and authentication) and, if you choose it, Google (sign-in).
Deleting your data
There's no self-serve "delete my account" button in the app yet. If you'd like your account and associated data removed, email info@jollogames.com and we'll take care of it.
Children
Jollo isn't directed at children, and some games listed on the site (clearly marked) are intended for adults only. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
