How to Play

  1. 1Split into two teams and set up 3 cups in a line in the center of one side, representing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd base. Have one cup be in the corner of the table being the home run cup. The first base cup is the one closest to the shooting side. Also have 2 cups on each side of the table to represent first and second base.
  2. 2The batting team takes turns shooting ping pong balls at the defending team's cups — sinking a cup gets a runner on base (like a hit). For example you hit the middle of the three cups, bringing you to second base.
  3. 3Now the player goes to the second base cup, and someone should be defending on the opposite cup across the table. If the player from the batting team wants to steal the base, they start a one-on-one flip cup race at any time. Win it and the runner advances (you can't steal home).
  4. 4Three outs end the batting team's half-inning; switch sides and repeat. An out happens if a ball bounces off a cup and the defending side catches the ball. Or if the ball completely misses the table. If the ball just hits the table, or hits a cup and hits the ground/table, then a strike is given. 3 strikes is an out!
  5. 5A runner who makes it all the way around the bases scores a run! You can also be pushed to the home base by teammates getting on base.
  6. 6Play through 9 innings (or however many you agree on) — whichever team has the most runs at the end wins.
